From Nantes to Carquefou, on the banks of the Erdre river

Walk along the Erdre for 14 kilometres from the Saint-Félix lock in Nantes to Port Jean.

Starting from the hotel, you'll take in the Beaujoire floral park and its 20,000 rose bushes.

You will then cross the suburbs of Nantes before reaching the Château de la Desnerie.

Continue on to the Gachet marsh, where many species of birds love to nest. Gradually, you will come to the Port-Jean cove in Carquefou, a haven of peace for boats and onlookers.

If you want to stop off along the way, you can do so at La Chapelle-Sur-Erdre. There you can catch a train back to Nantes effortlessly.
